How Angels bear you up!

Did you know some of our greatest test in life are seminars you signed up to attend?

I discovered this the hard way!

When I was around 22 I started reading a lot of self-help stuff. I read Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill, Success through a positive mental attitude by W. Clement Stone and listened to Earl Nightingales popular Lead the Field. Then one day it hit me :

I was the most powerful force in the universe and knew all the secrets to life.

I would pass a homeless dude on the street and think, "If I was stripped of everything I would spring back in no time flat." I had no compassion, I was a spiritual whiz! So, 28yrs later the spirit called my bluff.

After a spiritual seminar called jail, I was thrust into another seminar called HOMELESSNESS! Spirit accepted my challenge that I would bounce right back up. What a wake up call. I was homeless for 2 months. Trust me being homeless for 2 days is difficult. If you have never been homeless all I can tell you is that it is intense. Did you know you can go to jail for being homeless? You can if you crash in the wrong place at the right time. You can get assaulted or an array of other scary stuff can happen on the streets. To top it off I had my soul mate with me and I was in fear of her safety. But, going to jail and being homeless was a vital part of our spiritual journey and mission.

I look at her often and wonder, why in the hell did you sign up for this?

My first night being homeless I was gripped with fear. Little did I know that I was "Walking The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death", a place where you face all your fears, a place where you are forced to trust God...a place where you develop courage. You are going to make it through, or you ain't gonna make it. Courage looks the death of your ego in the face and says:

I got this!

We didn't know where to go, so we found a huge palm tree surrounded by bushes by a shopping plaza. We didn't have a blanket, didn't have food and were scared shit-less. I was raised in a very well off middle class home and have never dreamed of having no where to go. We found a baby cabana in the bushes and spread it out to sleep on. We were hiding in the bushes...scared, ashamed, broken and all we had was our faith in God. Remember, that God is near those of a broken heart...they just don't reach for the power.  I didn't know what do and I was reminded of the 91st Psalm and began to speak it:

"He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty."

Psalm 91:1

I said it over and over, and we began to feel a calm; like a divine blanket descend upon us and the fear was melted away with a divine peace. Even though we were being attacked by a 1000 different type of bugs we feel fast asleep. We slept till the sun rose. We picked up the baby cabana and placed it back in the bushes. We knew a nearby Grocery store gave away free coffee, so we walked about 1/2 mile to snag a free cup of coffee and use the facilities.

We headed back to a local park to hang out for the day and had to pass by where we just slept. We had only been gone about 30 minutes. There was more light out so we stopped by where we had slept to try to find a brush we had lost. Right where we slept; right where the cabana was; we found a brand new teddy bear with the price tag. It was not tramped on; it was not wet from the dew and the price tag was crisp. What really flipped us out was this spot was off the beaten path. It had a Hallmark tag and there was not a Hallmark in miles. Also, the place was desolate and who would have dropped a brand new teddy bear at seven in the morning?

Here is a exact pic of the teddy bear:
The Gund birthday goober fresh from Hallmark.

When reaching the park I grabbed my Bible and read Psalm 91. Something in the passage jumped off the page at me:

" He shall give His Angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against the stone."
Psalm 91: 11-12

Chill bumps hit me as I felt a divine presence came upon me. I get chill bumps just writing about. I wonder, Did our guardian Angels leave us a gift? What do you think? How can you explain it? What was even wilder, was that it played happy birthday. Was something birthed in us under that bush. I, deep in my spirit know what happened.

My homeless seminar lasted over two months and I can tell you Angels are real. During this intense time we always had a spirit sense that we were being watched. Miracle after miracle happened and I am working on a eBook : "Arrested Development: Welcome to the Game" that I plan on releasing later this year. All I can tell you is there are an "Army Of Angels" walking the earth assisting those who are destined to exit this world and "Escape The Drama"

So when you are faced with the trails and storms of life say this little prayer:

"Oh God, we cannot express in words the mercy of your providence that has given your Angels care over us. May we always be safe under their protection and be happy for all eternity in their company. Through our Lord"

Your Angels will bear you up!
