What are you worth my friend?
Do you understand we live in a society that places worth upon our fellow souls? We developed a class system that defines us and our place on the rung of the social ladder.
So; what do you think you are worth?
How do you define yourself?
On a scale of 1 to 10 how do you rate your self-esteem?
What do you think?
Pretend you are stranded on the road with your car broken down. First a shinny BMW pulls up and a well dressed man appears out of the car and says, "Hi, I'm Dr. Jones and I see you are broken down". "I am", you reply, "do you know anything about cars"? "No, I'm sorry I don't know anything about cars, I only fix hearts." Just when he finishes speaking a old; rusted; dirty truck pulls up. Out pops a guy covered from head to toe in grease. He spits out a stream of tobacco juice, takes a slug from his beer and wipes his mouth with the sleeve of his shirt. He then says,
"Looks like you folks are broke down. Pop the hood and let's check it out".
Let me ask you a question:
WHO IS WORTH MORE TO YOU RIGHT NOW?
You are worth more than you can ever imagine and there is a place in this world that only you can fill.
We might judge the greasy guy in a different setting. He pulls up to the tee-ball game cheering his child and spitting chew. He disgust many and they wonder why he is so shabby. We avoid him like he has a exotic disease. We gravitate towards the Dr and yearn for his approval. He so nice and he is so clean.
We do not see the value of the grease monkey till we are broke down. I use the term grease monkey with utmost respect.
The sad thing is we don't see our own value and we are blinded by the shadow of others we deem more important. The Divine Spirit inside of us has a purpose that only we can fill. When we fulfill that Divine Purpose, the Universal expands through our expression.
You are special!
So, are you going to be all you can be with the gifts you have been given?
Will you become more worth to yourself by acknowledging your Divine Purpose?
What ever you do, will you do your very best?
Will you set your mark high?
Will you allow no day to go by in which you have improved your personal power?
Will you take an inventory of the gifts you possess?
Will you bring more value to those gifts?
Will you find and accept where your abilities reside?
Will you put the best into your ability?
What you hunger and yearn to do you can very well do. Don't determine your value by comparing your life to others. Fill your place with pride and the spirit will promote you. Never be ashamed of who you are; what you do, what you drive, and where you live. Accept the place that Spirit has brought you and live your life to the fullest.
You are needed in your place and your worth is more than you can ever think. Stand tall. Stand Bold. The Kingdom of God has brought you to your place for such a time as this.
